DCW604NT: useful if you already have compatible power equipment
DeWalt describes the DCW604 as an 18V XR brushless compact router compatible with its 18V XR batteries. Its official DCW604NT-XJ contents include fixed and plunge bases plus a TSTAK kitbox. “Tool only” refers to power equipment, so it does not automatically mean the router arrives without bases or a case.
The offer card is restricted to the checked Amazon tool-only listing. Other retailers may add a battery, extra fence or other tools under the same catalogue product. Read the selected listing’s contents rather than assuming all offers below a product title contain the same kit.
DCW604P2: compare the complete battery package
Current retailer titles describe the DCW604P2 with batteries, but a shortened title is not a full packing list. Confirm the number and capacity of batteries, charger plug, both bases and case before comparing it with a tool-only price. Retailer-created kits can use different battery capacities.
If you already own compatible batteries, count only extras you will use as value. If this is your first tool on the platform, include the charger and suitable batteries in your total budget. Check warranty registration conditions with the manufacturer and whether the retailer is responsible for an imported package.
Match the model to the job
